Rating Forming Part of a Navigational Watch (STCW A-II/4)
This course is provided by Northeast Maritime Institute, the approved training provider of the Commonwealth of Dominica Maritime Administration. Upon succesful completion of this course, students are elligble to apply for a Commonwealth of Dominica Certificate of Proficiency and Seafarer ID book, if the (STCW A-II/4) requirements are met.
This blended course bundle includes the courses covering the required training for application for an endorsement as a Rating Forming Part of a Navigational Watch, in accordance with Section A-II/4 of the STCW Code*. The program is additionally approved for 4 months of sea-time, so the required sea-time for qualification is reduced to 60 days, per the STCW Code requirements. The program includes the following online courses, for which most require the completion of an onboard Training Record Book in order to satisfy the practical minimum competencies set forth in the STCW Code. STCW Basic Training is also required for formal endorsement by any Administration, and is offered by many schools around the globe, which is not included in this bundle, as the course requires a practical firefighting, first aid and water survival demonstrations that cannot be completed onboard.
Upon completion, you will receive training certificates for all three courses in the program.
