The Tapiit team had a great night on Friday at the Mersey Maritime Industry Awards 2020, hosted by BBC Breakfast presenter Louise Minchin. More than 500 guests gathered in the stunning St George’s Hall in Liverpool on Friday 6th of March 2020 in order to celebrate amazing achievements within the industry. 13 industry awards were given out to the best businesses in various categories, including ‘Employer of the Year’, ‘Business of the Year’, ‘Engineering Company of the Year’ and many more.
TAPiit was proud to be nominated and shortlisted as finalist for two categories – ‘SME of the Year’ and ‘International Trade Award’. Our own Anastasia was also shortlisted as finalist for the ‘Rising Star Award’.
We are absolutely delighted to announce that TAPiit won the ‘International Trade Award’. We feel extremely grateful and proud to receive this award within our first year of trade. Just after 7 months of trading, TAPiit has now more than 175 training providers onboard in 45 countries and we continue to grow on the daily basis while working on various international products and disrupting the maritime training industry. We would like to thank all our colleagues and industry supporters for believing in us and supporting us. Also, thank you to the category sponsors Western Union and everyone who voted for us.
Tapiit also had an honour to sponsor the 'Positive Impact Award’ and we were delighted to announce the winner – Liverpool Seafarers’ Centre. Big congratulation to John Wilson and the team. Thank you for your hard work and contribution to the industry that never goes unnoticed.
We would like to congratulate all the winners, finalists, participants and everyone within our maritime family. MMIA night only highlighted how incredible and truly diverse our industry is.
